Day 17 - Trans-Amplification Outtakes

Chocolate Of The Day: Image of the day: Sound(s) of the day:

it's a chocolate xbox 360 :

This was made in X05, the xbox event in Amsterdam. One thing I have learnt is that if I go on to google images, and type in the word chocolate followed by any noun, google shows me that someone in the world has made it.

It's Utopia drummer Willie Wilcox:

XBLA 1:23

Xbox Live Arcade is a service that allows people to download games directly to their xbox. I wrote this song not long after getting my 360 so it's a bit old..

The service launched with a few new games, but mainly it was filled with old bullshit that I have played and purchased many times before. For example you can now buy "Sonic The Hedgehog" on it, so sonic, right I had that game on the megadrive, then there was that sonic jam on the Saturn (three games including the original sonic), I grabbed that....then there was the "Sonic mega collection" on gamecube, then there was "sonic mega collection plus"xbox, I just had to buy that...finally they released it on XBLA. So

Sonic Megadrive - £29.99

Sonic Jam (Saturn) - £39.99

Sonic Mega Collection (gamecube) - £39.99

Sonic Mega Collection plus (xbox) - £29.99

Sonic XBLA (xbox 360) - £3.40

So I haven't yet purchased the XBLA version, but after buying the same game 4 times now at a total cost of £139.96 I feel somewhat reluctant to get it again, particularly as the xbox version runs fine on the 360. But...the XBLA version has achievement point, so no doubt I'll cave in eventually.

This song is about the XBLA service and how good it is, both in actually being great, and also in being great at selling you the same old shit for the thousandth time.

It was also destined to be on the new album, but simply wasn't quite good enough. It's one of the better outtakes from the record.
