By this time we were playing with our label mates "Do Me Bad Things" a fair bit, they were pretty good as well as being a decent bunch of people, so we covered one of their songs, and I did the best sleeve art of my life. (The MP3 club download for august was a video of a gig)

Shouting from the rooftops about my love for heavy metal I did this substandard version of Mean Man originally by W.A.S.P. I tried to hack the original sleeve art to say feast for a pretty picture to go with it.

I got to sit this one out, whilst my band played my songs at me, it was uncomfortable as fuck. they werent too shabby either...the dicks. They all got to play their normal instruments in this one too.

Alternafeast I
So I came up with this stupid idea that we'd swap instruments and play as a three piece, and rotate around at different shows so that all of us got a gop at each thing, so each band member would get to play bass, guitar, drums and spectator. For # 1 Gareth went on Bass, and Cpoirn went on drums, Andy watched and I played guitar. God knows when this first gig took place, but we did a studio version of each of the tracks and gave it away:

during our first tour with ten benson the day before the last show I recorded this to give to uncle benson, i mixed it, made a sleeve and burned some discs before leaaving, which very nearly made us late.by november 2003 it seems the internet had got faster and I had 50MB of webspace, so up went this, and the mp3 club idiocy kicked off.

When Joey Ramone died it was fairly turd, so me and andy recorded this tribute and shoved it up on the internet about two days after his demise...again this was another short lived 56k modem download, I think I only had 10MB for the whole web site in those days! the artwork is fairly fucking stupid too...I haved the smallest leather jacket on in the world (it belonged to a girl, and had tassles!) + we are trying to copy the ramones exact poses / attire and facial expressions...gareths shirt is pretty good....but yes this makes us look even more like dicks.

So shit rock mother fuckers / Sludgefeast Century wasnt the first time we attempted to record a shit load of songs in one day, at the same place but 5 years earlier we did it for the first time. I dont have the figures, but we did 60 or so songs that time, which is of course why we had to top it the second time with a nice round 100. We gave away twelve tracks on the internet, this was the first proper attempt at giving something away. but back then I had a 56k modem, and I couldnt really foresee anyone bothering to download anything that took more than hour to get. The tracks were remastered and given away to a few people on CDR sometime in 2003. The remmastered tracks were re-released via the mp3 club in April 07.

Race
So I found a guy on the internet making a game, I offered to do some music for it, long before the game was even a game. He kindly used it...I wrote and recorded the whole lot in a day, if you look hard enough you may find that the songs are still out there for download along with some threatening text that tells you not to download it...so don't....the mixes are terrible, but we did rerecord the "them from race" for the king of the arcade album, and speed of sound made it on to "noise action noise" kind of untouched...there are a couple of other OK ones too.(race inst 1 wad very close to being on virtua rock!)

this wasnt really an internet release as such, we just stuck the song up at ubl.com (ultimate band list) I think the site removed it eventually because of our imense unpopularity, anyway the song was a bit crap, as well as being a total rip off of a motorhead song.

			PSA for John Peel So when Sir John died it was a shame, so we released this PSA thing we'd done for him, bassially the recording explains it all, but we were sending outr a warning to people to explain how you had to turn the radio off it you thought you may be offended by swearing. He never played it, but probab;ly would have if he'd ever heard it. 			The complete must destroy singles catalogue performed by sludgefeast Like the name says, we did a cover of every single that must destroy had released to date, we manged to do it just before the drakness released christmas time, so that was probably a good thing...oh but wait we covered that anyway later. 			Andy's # 2 This was a really old song, all songs with a name and a number are sung by the person whose name it is, and the number depicts the number of songs they have had in the band prior to that one, so a new song with me singing would be "James' # 272" or something...Andy Nazer inherited Andy Crisps counter when he joined the band. Now thats cleared up this song was the exception to the rule, the song was written for andy to sing, he didnt really know what to sing so me and coiring shouted Andy at him, and eventually tried to get him to sing along with his own name, which I dont think ever happened. Anyway, when we recorded it I wanted to do it backwards aswell as forwards, I can't really remember why I just thought it was funny to do..I then decided to do it again a few years later, Gareth playted the forwards version, then decided he couldnt be bothered with my stupid backwards version so i ended up playing that. But as is normal with me and a drum kit I played it way too fast. The release was suppossed to be a 7" (it would have been re-recorded a third time had that come to pass). 			Feast VS. Agenda The Agenda were a pretty good band, we played a couple of shows with them, and they were pretty stunning in the flesh, their debut album sadly didnt really reflect their live greatness, but anyway, I had a plan, we'd cover each others songs over the top of new versions of opur own songs, and spolit the mixes to the left / right speakers, so a true split single for the first time ever...I did some versions over the top of some camcorder footage I had of their show, I even made a video...I never really got any impression of whether they thought this was a good idea or not, then they went and split up.
